Come join a growing team of Space Systems hardware engineers, designing and building products that make a difference Job Description: As Section Manager of the Space Parts Management group, you will lead a team of dedicated and experienced engineers to provide design solutions and tackle issues at the supplier, component, and piece part level.
Your team is the face of the Space Systems Component Engineering Department, and will be deployed across the entire space product line portfolio at Raytheon Technologies.
Parts Managers, in the Space Systems Component Engineering Department (CED), are engineers responsible for developing and executing the Parts Management, parts procurement strategies and Obsolescence Management plans in accordance with Raytheon guidelines and program requirements for all Raytheon Space programs.
They lead qualification, verification, and validation of program efforts for component parts to ensure compliance with part selection, standardization, and documentation requirements.
Parts Managers also lead the resolve subcontract and supplier technical issues, utilizing out of the box thinking to meet customer demands.
Required Skills: 10 years minimum of experience in engineering, manufacturing or product support.
â¢BS and 10 years, MS and 8 years, PhD and 6 years â¢Demonstrated ability to manage technical and schedule risks and to identify cost reduction opportunities.
â¢Working knowledge of components, component failure modes, MIL specs and MIL Standards, project management and parts management.
â¢Demonstrated familiarity with parts, suppliers, and all aspects of parts obsolescence.
â¢Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) and have proficient computer skills.
â¢Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and to handle multiple concurrent projects.
