Senior Mechanical Engineer

JETCOOL Technologies is seeking a dedicated, dependable mechanical engineer to lead engineering execution programs across our core markets.

The position will be responsible for the development of hardware over its life cycle, including CAD design, analysis and simulation, prototyping, part fabrication, assembly, thermofluidic testing, and reporting.

Successful candidates will be comfortable taking on tasks as an individual contributor as well as working together with the team as required to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities
Develop manufacturable mechanical designs to achieve system interface and structural requirements using SOLIDWORKS CAD

Apply analysis and simulation tools (e.g.

thermal and structural FEA, CFD) for product development and refinement
Implement in-house prototyping tools to generate, evaluate, and select concepts
Assemble engineering drawings and engage with external vendors to procure parts and hardware
Design rigorous experiments to verify product specifications and design features
Set up and perform experiments to collect empirical data of completed designs
Effectively document and communicate results
Work closely with leadership to balance business development goals with engineering feasibility
Requirements
Master’s level and 5+ years work experience, or similar background, in thermal fluids engineering
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects
Skilled in mechanical design for parts and assemblies with precision features
Experience with engineering simulation tools (FEA, CFD)
Comfortable interfacing with fabrication partners and suppliers to deliver high quality parts on time
Experience in thermofluidic experimental design
Demonstrated ability with hands-on builds/projects
Ability to work independently and on small teams
Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS CAD and drawing packages
U.S.

Citizenship is required
Bonus Points!

5 years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering
Industry experience in fluid system, compute, or electric vehicle applications
Experience in production manufacturing techniques, such as injection molding or casting
Savvy with electronics systems and/or electronics packaging
Experience with product development cycles involving environmental and reliability test campaigns
Comfortable in a fast-paced, technology startup
Industry experience in aerospace/defense, automotive, or data centers

This full-time position is based out of our Littleton, MA offices.

The position may require travel (< 10%) to customers and conferences predominantly within the United States, subject to developments in the COVID-19 pandemic.
