Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and supporting automation initiatives at G&Ws manufacturing facilities.
Also responsible for training factory and support staff on implemented equipment and technology.
In addition, this role is responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting and support of existing equipment on the production floor.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities:
Lead G&W in updating our production data recording and retrieval processes.
Assist with development of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to provide real-timeproduction status to manufacturing management.
Work with cross member team to assist in development of MES and other data acquisition systems.
Lead and Assist with integration and programming of robotics and automation projects.
Develop and implement automation and integration methods that improve G&W operations Work with lean and manufacturing engineers on production line improvements.
Assist production staff with training and maintenance of automation systems.
Coordinate work with production and maintenance staff.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering preferred or other engineering discipline.
Demonstrated practice of 0-5 years in production automation also acceptable.
Experience in writing PLC codes for Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), and the ability and willingness to learn other industry standard PLC platforms as required.
Experience in writing HMI code using FactoryTalk View (RSView), and the ability and willingness to learn other industry standard graphical interfaces.
Minimum 1 year of experience hands on low to medium volume assembly process improvements and practical quality improvement implementation.
Demonstrated problem solving and team facilitating skills.
Demonstrated project management capabilities, especially time management and adherence to schedule with the ability to meet or beat deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SQL Experience with Yaskawa/Motoman, UR robotics.
Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred.
Statistical Process Control experience is a plus.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions:
General Office Environment, may have extended use of pc and long periods of sitting General shop floor environment Occasional light to moderate lifting, no more than 45 lbs Stooping Standing
