Responsibilities The Energy Sustainability & Infrastructure (ES&I) Analytics team is seeking a data architect and engineer with proven experience designing and developing databases, data warehouses, and ETL solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, enhancing, maintaining, and testing relational database systems and ETL solutions.
This position will be part of a team of data scientists supporting diverse client needs.
The work will provide exposure to a variety of systems and tools, including, but not limited to, Snowflake, MS SQL, R, Shiny, ArcGIS, Blob storage, etc.
in support of a wide range of project use cases.
Systems will perform a number of different functions including but not limited to geospatial transportation analytics, multi-terabyte data analysis on interval-based energy usage, and reporting against ongoing EM&V tracking data.
Support delivery of database solutions by producing and communicating deliverables for both internal and external clients.
Common responsibilities include: Assist consulting staff working with large data to set up and query Snowflake databases Implement analytical / data warehousing platforms and analytics solutions, and support project team use of the same Support data management solutions specifically designed and optimized for use with: RStudio Server (R Analytics) Rstudio Connect (Shiny Dashboards) Analytica ArcGIS / QGIS Serve as a resource for project teams looking to ingest, store, and query structured data.
Design, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of large databases solutions and complex ETL pipelines Automation of existing and new database and ETL solutions Incorporating R with SQL work to perform big data statistical analysis Collaborate across teams to problem-solve and provide content expertise to tailor solutions for individual clients The ideal candidate will also be expected to keep pace with technology trends and explore new ideas and solutions to problems.

Qualifications (MUST HAVES and MUST BE reflected in resume.) Ex: LCAT requirements, Bachelors degree, 5 years of exp Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Engineering, Database Management or equivalent work experience 5 years of experience in gathering requirements, design, implementation, and test of relational database systems 5 years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining complex ETL solutions Prefferred : Experience with source code version control technologies such as Git and Azure DevOps Ability to effectively communicate with internal team members and external clients Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences Experience with the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack, including MS SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS is preferred Big data platform experience is preferred; Experience with Linux is preferred Experience in R is preferred Experience in the energy efficiency field is preferred Experience with Snowflake Experience with geospatial databases and processes Additional Requirements The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
