Lead System Architect, Memory, Pixel

This is a Full-time position in Mountain View, CA posted January 9, 2022.

  • 10 years of experience in computer architecture memory subsystems.
  • 5 years of experience with mobile phone technologies focusing on mobile SoC memory subsystem architecture or performance tuning.
  • Experience with standard profiling, Linux, and Android tools, hardware performance monitoring and profiling, and low power DRAM.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Technical experience in cache, interconnect or memory controller design, modeling, and tuning.
  • Knowledge of ARM architecture, cache, fabrics, compression, memory controller, industry standards for mobile phone applications, and storage technology trends.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage fundamentals and industry experience to contribute to the memory subsystem (e.g.

    cache, low power DRAM, nonvolatile memory, etc.), performance/power characterization, and optimizations of Pixel devices’ use cases and features.

  • Work cross-functionally with other systems architects, Pixel Product management, Pixel Software, and Technology teams to identify, analyze, characterize, and decide memory subsystem latency, throughput, size, and power to meet Pixel product feature performance requirements.
  • Provide key contributions to future memory subsystem architectures and use case performance/power models through data driven input from the current platforms.
