Overview:

In this role you will focus on developing business product strategic roadmaps and solution designs that achieve business outcomes and support functional and non-functional objectives.

Responsibilities include building a bridge between business and technical requirements by defining application solution frameworks and implementation blueprints; working with software engineers and business analysts to provide reliable and scalable technical solutions; managing enterprise architecture governance; and developing reference architectures and roadmaps for business products.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Drives technology strategy and roadmaps of business functional areas
  • Establishes as a technology solution expert in one or more of the banking domains
  • Experience working with web services, REST, Web API, ESB, message-based development, integration, and deployment
  • API, digital/mobile architecture experience
  • Technical facilitator bringing various technology groups and vendors for solution design and execution to meet project timeline but keeping strategic focus
  • Produce project level and program level technical documentations (solution options, solution architecture, high-level end-to-end design flow) collaborating with other technical leads
  • Assists with and contributes to function area-specific target architecture, transition architectures, and technology roadmap
  • Leads or assist with new technology evaluation against MUFG target architecture and standards to solve business problems
  • Coordinate cross-team communication and facilitate reviewing of technical issues for the technical governance forums.

    Lead socialization of the technical decisions with the project team

  • Facilitate and lead resolution of all technical issues on the project/program by establishing strong working relationships with the business, operations, and other technology team members
  • Identify and communicate risks (business, application, technical) associated with component or application implementation
  • Evaluate multiple solution design options, working with a multi-disciplined team to design integrated solution architecture across application areas and helping the project adhere to Enterprise standards

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture preferred
  • 6+ years of programming/development experience.
  • Experience designing enterprise solutions that support functional and non-functional requirements
  • Experience creating diagrams and written summaries to explain an enterprise level architecture design to business, technology, and executive stakeholders
  • Experience developing roadmaps to sequence delivery of a target state architecture through prioritized phases
  • Experience designing solutions to optimize and automate business processes
  • Experience utilizing a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications
  • Experience with major public cloud offerings and how to design solutions that are built around these technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and similar)
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale business solutions.
  • Familiar with Agile Development Methodology
  • Able to manage ambiguity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable interacting with developers all the way up to the “C” level
