Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, we want you to join our team as a JSTARS Aircraft Heavy Structures Mechanic 3. This position is located at Lake Charles, LA.You will perform a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Aligns parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.Other duties may include:
- Performs such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
- Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
- Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
LCPDMBasic Qualifications:1. High School diploma or equivalent2. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and/or education in related field.3. Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions4. Able to wear respirator and other safety gear5. Ability to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces
Preferred Qualifications:
1. A&P license
Salary Range: 46200 – 77000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
