Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Platform Group (DPG) as a Software Solutions Architect!
In this position, you will be joining the Smart Edge Division (SED) Application Engineering Team and will be responsible for enabling the next generation Edge telecommunications and enterprise platform solutions based on SDN & NFVI implementing Intel Platform Technologies.
You will monitor and perform capacity/feasibility studies and resolve network capacity issues.
Identify, develop, and deploy tools supporting network server services.
Perform impact analysis of new technologies on environment.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex and advanced problems.
You will plan and schedules work to meet deadlines established by the business to ensure the completion of several related tasks.
You will also use judgement in data analysis to develop and design solutions for moderately complex processes.
The Software Solutions Architect will be responsible, but not limited to:
- Research and recommend technology to improve the current systems in support of organization’s strategic vision.
- Responsible for translating business requirements into specific systems, applications, data, or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture.
- Design, develop, and analyze overall architecture.
- Determine integrated hardware, software and data architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
- Lead on architectural governance and decisions related to Product, Technology, and system tradeoffs as part of a cross functional architecture decision group.
- Provide direction for design activities.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Education:
Bachelor’s in computer science or related field with 6+ years of related experience or Master’s in computer science or related field with 4+ years of related experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Broad enterprise software technology, having depth in specific areas in Network Engineering design and configuration, Kubernetes and Docker application containerization, or systems configuration and optimization.
- Test automation and unit test development.
- Enterprise application development for Linux, Windows, iOS, or Android platforms.
- Continuous integration and documentation in a team development environment (Jenkins, Git, markdown).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full stack web development expertise (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side technologies).
- Experience with hardware acceleration of ML inference on non-CUDA HW (such as Movidius, FPGA).
- Experience in C/C++, Python, Bash, and Go on headless Linux platforms.
- Experience deploying, configuring, and operating virtual network function products (such as SD-WAN, Firewall, Routers).
- Experience with cellular (4G/LTE or 5G) networking implementation and management.
- Experience with CBRS spectrum.
