Raven Industries is currently seeking an Intern for the 2022 Summer or Summer/Fall Semester(s).
This will be a full-time, Monday
– Friday, 40 hours/week position.
The intern will have responsibilities to research, design, fabricate, and test components and subsystems for use on product lines including stratospheric balloons, radars, and airships.
Tasks will be assigned according to the specific aptitudes of the applicant.
Essential Functions
This position is primarily a hardware design position, and a majority of the work must be performed in-office.
• Learn the product development process and apply to design efforts on your own project.
• Develop, build, and test printed circuit board and cable assemblies and/or develop FPGA firmware.
• Document design and testing as appropriate on each phase of the project.
• Performs technical work that does not require previous experience.
• Work within a team environment to deliver a product.
• Attend Raven sponsored training and educational seminars.
• Engage and participate in Raven sponsored events.
• Complete summer end internship presentation.
• Demonstrates the Dimensions of Competition and Raven Team Member Values in their daily actions and encourages their teams to do the same.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years towards a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; 3 years preferred.
• Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout preferred.
• Hands on experience in manufacturing, testing, and/or lab settings is highly desired.
• Basic proficiency with oscilloscopes and power supplies highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Xilinx tools and FPGAs preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously without close supervision.
• Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office.
