Position Summary
– IS Cloud Specialist or Architect The Information Security Cloud Specialist or Architect helps maintain the security posture of the Federal Reserve.
Incumbents will provide consultation on Bank’s cloud security engineering and operations, including DevSecOps.
They will also assess cloud compliance with security controls and recommend improvements.
Incumbents are also expected to collaborate with system counterparts and lead system initiatives when possible.
They will provide high quality consultative services to the bank and the Federal Reserve System, especially when new cloud systems are being evaluated or being developed internally, utilizing risk quantification methods when needed.
Essential Accountabilities * Make sound decisions on identifying cloud security-related compliance issues and defining security requirements in line with Federal Reserve Information Security Standards.
* Collaborate with FRS counterparts and lead system Information Security initiatives.
* Using expert security knowledge routinely inspect, review, and report on the security posture of the bank’s cloud operations, escalating and mitigating any vulnerabilities found.
* Utilizing Risk Quantification methods, recommend improvements to increase the cloud security posture of the Federal Reserve System.
* Independently analyze available data and identify new data sets to contribute to Information Security capabilities.
Education and Experience * Bachelor’s Degree * 7 years of professional work experience required for the Specialist.
10 years of professional experience required for the Architect.
Knowledge and Skills * Intermediate Project Management * Advanced Microsoft Productivity Suite knowledge * Advanced Risk Quantification methods and reporting * Advanced cloud security principles, including DevSecOps * Advanced National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) risk management frameworks * Advanced information security principals * CISSP and/or CSSP preferred * Advanced written communication skills * Advanced verbal communication skills * Advanced problem solving skills * Advanced analytical skills The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
