Work directly for a Commerical/Industrial Electrical Contractor servicing clients throughout the State of New Jersey Summary
– Industrial Field Service Electrician Job Duties: -Inspect, install, repair, wire, and service all electrical apparatus, devices and circuits 12 volts to 460 volts, and related equipment in assigned area.
-Able to work alone or with minimal supervision.
-Refers to wiring diagrams, sketches, work orders, etc.
to determine isolation of electrical circuits to minimize interruption of production during repair or installation operations.
-Installs electrical wiring, electrical heating units, motor and machinery controls, power and lighting transformers, electrical distribution panels, electrical hardware for new installation or replacement.
-Works with other repair crews as required.
-Diagnoses logic circuits using ladder diagrams and PLC programming devices is a plus.
-Inspects, tests, diagnoses, & replaces worn out parts and calibrates electrical and electronic equipment to obtain proper operating characteristics.
-Draws wiring sketches as required.
-Makes out daily work report.
-Fill out time sheet.
-Returns tools, materials, etc.
to proper storage bins, etc.
-Performs work in conjunction with preventative maintenance program.
-Observe all safety rules.
-Refer to National Electrical Code as necessary.
-Keep work area clean and orderly.
Types of materials/parts: -All types of AC motors and generators, circuit breakers, electronic controls and panels, switches, lighting equipment, wire, cables, line material, conduits, starters, relays, transformers.
Types of tools/equipment: -Electrical testing equipment such as test lights, meters, etc., wiring diagrams, drawings etc., electrical and electronic tools, gauges, hand and power tools, measuring tools, wire strippers, crimpers, safety devices, hand lines, miscellaneous shop tools, hand & hydraulic pipe benders, repair parts, ladders, scaffolding materials, blue prints, etc.
Requirements: -3-5 years experience in a related or similar manufacturing environment.
