Overview:Civil Engineer TransportationHuitt-Zollars’ Seattle, Washington Office has a full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineer Transportation.

The successful candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington with transportation project experience in roadway design, drainage studies/design, traffic control, permitting, utility relocations, right-of-way engineering, construction document preparation, and post design construction services.

Experience with transit projects including track design desired.

The candidate will work in a team environment on transportation, transit, and public works projects primarily in Seattle with opportunities to work on projects for other offices.HZ is a leading full-service design firm providing innovative planning, engineering, architectural and interior design, construction and program management, and design-build project delivery to our clients in the public and private sector.

Responsibilities:Serve as Civil Engineer in the development of roadway/transit feasibility and planning studies, geometric design schematics, construction plans, specifications and estimates.Coordinate with EITs, designers and drafters.Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and facilitate the construction administration.

.Support project proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage execution and tracking of projects.Complete projects within client specifications, budgets and schedules.Assist in preparation of project reports including feasibility studies, implementation plans, engineering summary reports, and drainage impact analyses.Coordinate online meetings, preparation of meeting agendas, and distribution of meeting.

Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)Registered Professional Engineer in Washington5-10+ years of transportation engineering design experienceProficient in AutoCAD Civil 3DProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPointAbility to interact with clients and multi-discipline team membersExcellent organizational, verbal and written communication skillsWe offer a competitive benefit and compensation package including medical, dental, vision, life, long/short term disability and two retirement plans: 401(k) and ESOP.
