Enterprise Architect with Security Clearance

This is a Contract position in Jbsa Lackland, TX posted September 13, 2021.

Applied Research Solutions is looking for an Enterprise Architect/Cybersecurity expert to support one of the Air Force’s premier software development factories (LevelUP Code Works) in San Antonio, TX. Level UP develops the UP to enable enhanced Cyberspace Defense capabilities for the United States of America. This position is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of a cultural and technical revolution within the Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force and a chance to shape the transformation within a small, dedicated, and motivated team. Responsibilities: * Develop and execute UP’s cybersecurity strategy focusing on establishing and implementing security for development code and environments.
* Work with cross-functional teams in a flat organization to implement new solutions and solve problems.
* Support the development of UP’s overall goals and how cybersecurity will factor in critical strategic decisions.
* Be hands-on, get into the code, and drive the security direction of the organization with conviction.
* Work with architecture, engineering, and product teams to create a scalable and reliable security design of our code developed using a secure DevSecOps pipeline to enable CI/CD of distributed software development.
* Analyze system performance with an insider threat mindset.
* Aide in the configuration of CI/CD tools to implement DevSecOps processes, accreditation, and techniques for distributed environments.
Qualifications/Experience: * Active Secret Clearance
* Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
* Cybersecurity professional with 3+ years’ experience delivering software capability in a DevSecOps framework
* Demonstrated technical leadership with container security (zero-trust model, container hardening, security sidecar injection)
* Familiar with programming in three or more major coding languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Go
* Have intellectual curiosity and always keep your technical skills current
* Comfortable navigating and guiding complex, large scale enterprise applications
* Secure leading cybersecurity teams utilizing DevSecOps principles
* Have a startup mindset and forward-leaning vision towards enterprise-grade and enterprise-scale solutions
* Confidence to dissent based on domain expertise to teammates and senior stakeholders alike.
* Want to be part of a revolutionary team pushing the envelope in DoD DevSecOps transformation.
* Willing to move to San Antonio. May consider individuals willing to commute regularly.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience: * Active TS/SCI preferred
* Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
* Experience working in multiple organization and classification levels a plus, but not required.
* Commercial and government clouds
* DevSecOps tools specifically in static and dynamic code analysis
