Come join us and help shape the future WSP is currently initiating a search for Emergency Management Specialists who are eager to assist during disasters on an on-call basis as a reservist employee, with the availability to deploy with little or no advance notice.
Duties and Responsibilities: Support Emergency Management team in servicing clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide.
Deploy to Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster.
Perform a variety of duties including logistics, supply, cost/documentation and/or resource unit functions.
Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility.
Support Emergency Management Project Management functions.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 1 years in an Emergency Management role (Response, Recovery or related) Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or similar/related concentration FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study
– Professional Development Series certification Travel Required
– Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Emergency Management (or related field) Asset Management and Supply Logistical Operational Experience Previous experience working at Field Staging Areas or state Emergency Operations Center or related environment About WSP USA WSP USA is the U.S.
