Electrician Technician

Under general direction, provides on-site assistance to field operations on the operation and maintenance of electrical or mechanical equipment. Project assignments are typically of a complex nature. Documents and reviews best practices and operational/maintenance procedures. Reviews documentation of less experienced personnel. Reviews, revises, and creates HalWorld documentation. Provides technical, operational and practical expertise on development and operations technology projects. May recommend design changes. Incorporate Reliability, HSE and Quality standards into work activities. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
Job Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of two years of experience with DC electrical systems and low and medium AC voltage. Two years of experience as a journeyman electrician or an electrician apprentice, performing commercial and industrial electrical installations and/or other standardized electrical training is preferred. State electrician license/certification or equivalent is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license. General knowledge of switchgear, circuit breakers; General knowledge around insulation, shielding materials, system grounding and fault currents; Operates relevant testing equipment (Megger, Fluke 1630 ground tester) or equivalent; Interprets schematics, wiring diagrams.
