Electrician FIRST Shift

Eaton’s ElectricalCrouse-Hinds division is currently seeing a 1^st shift IndustrialElectrician to join our team.  Thisposition is based at our Syracuse, New York facility and the rate is $27.53. 

The Industrial Electrician isresponsible for planning, layout and performing all operations pertaining tothe installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of complicatedelectrical equipment and circuits used in various plant departments, powerhouse,and offices such as special automatic controls, electronic controls, generatingequipment, and large switchboards.

In this functionyou will:

• Tear down complicated units, determine extent of troubles, repair or replace defective parts or wiring and reassemble. 
• Diagnose machine sequence and troubleshoot PLC input/outputs
• Install and wire motors for large machine tools such as floor type boring mills, intricate motor controls with multiple inter-locking and safety devices
• Maintain and repair electric and electronic controls including all necessary cleaning and adjusting
• Work from schematic drawings, manuals and testing procedures.  Perform a variety of similar or associated duties as required or directed.
• Detect and report all defective materials or faulty operations; diagnose and remedy unusual troubles. 
• Wiring diagrams when necessary to facilitate work, after installation for permanent records or for changes to existing diagrams or drawings brought about by on-the-job conditions.
• Maintain all types of Electrical distribution equipment (including motors, generators and complicated apparatus)

Qualifications

Required (Basic)Qualifications: 

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Journeymen Electrician or six (6) years of documented experience as an industrial/operations/military electrician  
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future  
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Syracuse, NY will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. 

• Knowledge in PLC, circuitry and programing 
• Background in machining and electrical equipment
• Experience with hydraulics, and pneumatics controllers
• Military electrical experience or equivalent
• Firm knowledge of electrical code
