Direct Hire Position
System One is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to support EPC projects in Omaha, NE.
This position is a direct hire position.
The ideal candidate will have experience in power, chemical, food and beverage industries.
The candidate will need to be experienced with routine engineering and design of electrical system of projects; also leading a group of electrical engineers or mentoring junior engineers.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities
Lead a team of electrical engineers.
Interface with customer, suppliers and construction throughout design and construction phase.
Design, specify and recommend electrical systems for fossil power plants and industrial facilities.
Perform electrical design calculations including feeder sizing, load calculations, load flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash analysis, motor starting and grounding.
Experience with SKM PowerTools and/or ETAP preferred.
Develop electrical specifications of electrical equipment, electrical systems, and construction methods and materials for low voltage through high voltage systems.
Design review to assure adherence to applicable codes, standards and project requirements.
Review of equipment quotations and submittals.
Coordination with design / drafting and other crafts to assure a complete, coordinated design.
Construction support, including field Engineering design, and installation compliance.
Proposal support including development of project scopes, budgets and schedules.
Mentoring of other engineers in the group.
Electrical Engineer Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of experience in electrical engineering with industrial plants
PE preferred
Proficient in the use of SKM PowerTools and or ETAP software.
Protective Relay Experience
