Distribution Design Engineer – Field Planner – Contract to Hire

Distribution Design Engineer / Field Planner Contract to Hire Maine 50/50 field/office split on interconnecting new customers to both existing and new distribution lines to major electrical utility service supported by the client’s renewable energy team.

The duration of this contract will be six months contract-to-hire (very high likelihood) Essential Responsibilities: Stake pole line locations in a safe and economic manner considering safety codes, company policy, state and municipal requirements, and the requirements of contract agreements with other utilities Coordinate the layout and design of pole lines with representatives of various telephone companies, cable television companies, and with government authorities Gather field data for pole permit applications, easement document preparation, and other necessary permits Design pole line construction for proper electrical operations and for safe installation and maintenance Prepare construction plans and cost estimates Preferred Experience & Qualifications: Associates Degree in Engineering or equivalent education with 3 years relevant experience within either electrical utility construction & design of distribution lines, especially pole line design, placement and construction 3 years of GPS and GIS Systems experience Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills PLEASE APPLY HERE AND WE WIL CALL YOU TO DISCUSS Sthree US is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
