This includes collaborating with business and Data, Technology and Engineering (DTE) leaders to transform organizations, roles, processes and technologies.
It involves deriving targeted strategic business outcomes, defining future state blueprints to achieve those outcomes, and defining strategic roadmaps to realize the future blueprint and outcomes.
This position leads Enterprise Architecture for the Research and Pre-Clinical Sciences (RPPS) and Vertex Cell and Gene Therapy (VCGT) business functions .
The successful candidate must have deep experience applying Enterprise Architecture practices to achieve significant business results in this function. The candidate will interact directly with senior business leaders, scientists and other key Vertex stakeholders to define strategic technology plans and oversee solution architecture.
While the focus will be on RPPS/VCGT , the successful candidate will also ensure that architectural plans and solutions in this area aligns with an overall enterprise business and technology strategy.
Reporting to the Sr.
Director, Head of Enterprise Architecture the position is part of a new, small and growing Enterprise Architecture Team. Because this is a new, small and growing team, improving Enterprise Architecture capabilities will be a key responsibility of this role.
