Digital Architect KOHLER Digital VenturesWork Mode:RemoteOpportunity The role of the Digital Architect KOHLER Digital Ventures position will have overall responsibility for front-end and back-end strategy and development of best-in-class digital products/platforms for an important, new digital business initiative for KOHLER, a highly respected kitchen and bath manufacturer.
Working with the KOHLER Digital Ventures Product team and 3rd Party technology partners, you will manage the build of DTC platform and the back-office engine to support fulfillment, with an emphasis on scalability, automation, and security.
While your role will be focused on managing the engineering roadmap and outsourced team, you will also be required, at times, to support hands-on for updates, hot fixes, troubleshooting and monitoring of current deployments.
This position will play an instrumental role in helping develop and scale a new and exciting business offering, nationally.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES Oversee new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements Lead new projects, from conceptualization/strategy to deployment Ensure agency delivers maintains high standards for application performance, uptime, and scale Contribute to a future-ready, high quality, and performance code base Share your technical knowledge and foster new product ideas with the team Translate product requirements and design wireframes into lightweight, agile products Champion good agile practices that provide a foundation for iterative product development Maintain the optimal IT stack to support the customer journey and back-end operations, including Azure, CosmosDB, Contentful, GitHub, Webflow and Salesforce Technical hands-on ability for updates, fixes, check the build, hot fixes, troubleshooting Can scope out time and resource requirements SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growthManage REST based web services and APIs for integration and consumption by mobile and web platformsCoordinate functional resources, including third parties, to achieve milestonesAccountable for ensuring each milestone is achieved within each phase and the project is delivered within an agreed-upon timeline.Develop engineering road map and strategize with Product & Customer Journey Lead and Head of Product to ideate and engineer next generation digital capabilitiesAbility to define and build prototypes, MVPs, and product iterationsFamiliarity with enterprise-based Salesforce integrations and configurationManage 3rd party Salesforce partner and implementation team including feature planning, prioritization and milestones#DJLSkills/RequirementsMinimum:Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience5+ years software engineering experience with expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS2+ years with ReactJSExperience with performance optimization techniquesWorking knowledge configuring SalesforceExperience in configuring and working in modern headless CMS, like Contentful, Prismic, Dato, etcExperience with object-oriented design and building backend applications with REST API services using Node.Js, Typescript, or C#.Experience designing and developing service-based architectures and/or micro servicesExperience designing data persistence and caching concepts using both SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.G., MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.)Enough DevOps experience to setup, configure and maintain your own dev/build environment.Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (e.G.
