Senior Cloud Security ArchitectDescriptionDefiance Digital is looking for a Senior Cloud Security Architect to join our growing Cloud Managed Services Provider team.

You will be responsible for implementing automation tools and managing the cloud deployment of our in-house and off-the-shelf security tools and systems.Defiance Digital’s managed services team engages in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the Defiance Digital portfolio and customer base.

Our team collaborates to bring access to cloud products and services, to get the right solution delivered, and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.This is an excellent opportunity to join our world-class technical team, working with some of the best and brightest engineers while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive areas in technology.Job Duties & Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop security strategy in partnership with the CISO and the DevOps teamDevelop, follow, and support best software engineering and secure deployment practicesMaintain compliance and security controls for both Defiance Digital and its customersRespond to, investigate and triage outages and security and privacy incidentsAssist with all audits and security assessmentsDocument security-related gaps and findings, while working with customers to develop strategic remediation plansWork with customer teams to develop a prioritized roadmap of security-related initiativesProvide prescriptive security guidance and insights for customersOur team works with customers across the country.

As such, remote-based work is okay, but there may be travel required to client locations to deliver services as needed.

Our headquarters is in Charlotte, NC.Required Skills & KnowledgeStrong experience with securing cloud platforms and services like AWS and AzureUnderstanding of DevSecOps and working experience in managing secrets, certificates and other sensitive informationStrong programming and scripting knowledge (e.G., Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Bash)Strong understanding of various CI/CD frameworks and working knowledge of building a pipeline from end-to-endExpertise with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationAbility to identify manual processes and operations that can be optimized and automatedStrong understanding of software development lifecycle and systems, data, and cloud architecture conceptsProven history of cloud services architecture and solutions designKnowledge of security penetration tools and processesWilling to take on security reviews and remediate security findingsProven history of integrating security into an agile or DevOps environmentPreferred QualificationsPrior experience using software/automation to deploy security controlsAbility to produce concise and quality technical documentationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate with a teamExcellent judgment and relentlessly high standardsThinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical executionAbout DefianceThe name Defiance was inspired by the HBO mini-series, The Defiant Ones, about Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre.
