Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks to fill a position for Computer System Architect / Integrator in the MDMC Domestic Engineering functional organization.
This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.
The qualified applicant will utilize skills as a Computer Systems Analyst, System Administrator, Network administrator, and/or Computing Systems Integrator to support the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command Systems (IBCS) Program.
This position will provide day to day SW, operating system, and infrastructure integration as well as regression testing support.
Includes integration and maintaining systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows, and integration of GOTS/COTS products with IAMD IBCS systems, assisting with integrating tactical products within a test lab and development environment, and at times within a Tactical Environment at remote locations, helping to maintain the information assurance posture of the system, and formulating innovative solutions to problems as they arise.
The candidate selected will serve on the IBCS Agile Transition contract as part of the Shared Services Support Integration Team within the Support, Infrastructure, and Labs IPT.
The desired candidate should have intermediate experience in system administration, and computing systems integration to support the IBCS Program.
This position can expand into disciplines involving infrastructure as a service and infrastructure as code development, DevSecOps planning and implementation, automation, information assurance (IA)/security, operating system support, virtualization, containerization, and labs & hardware infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma and 6 years of relevant experience.
Will also consider 2 Years applicable experience with Bachelors degree; 0 Years with Masters;
Solid understanding of or experience with Network Design and Architecture
Solid understanding or experience with System Administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Programming, and/or Scripting experience
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Current Security certification (e.g.
Security+ CE or CISSP)
Solid problem solving skills
Current Secret security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
System Administration or Network Administrator experience with the following: Red Hat Enterprise Linux and experience operating within a Continuous Deliver/Continuous Integration culture
Experience with VMWare ESXi
Experience with Cisco networks.
Specifically Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices utilizing static and dynamic routing as well as virtual Interfaces
Experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
