The role reports to the IS Service Manager and is located in Cary, North Carolina.

Solution Architect Intern needed to train and receive hands-on experience providing solutions to ABB’s complex Data Architecture spanning from ERPs to our Global cloud-based Data Warehouse and through the delivery of analytics solutions.

Your responsibilities Define the technical IS solution and ensures alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration with IS solution architects Engages in requirement analysis to decide which requirements are covered by available, standard functionalities, for which functionality enhancements are needed and for which functionality workarounds are accepted Supports validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with the relevant IS Service Manager and/or Global IS Domain Architect Reviews the functional and technical use case specifications Collaborates with users in projects and problem management to maintain, develop and deploy the best feasible and most cost efficient IS solutions/services for the business Troubleshoots solution configuration, product and/or performance issues Advises project delivery on analytical approaches, from build, test, or delivery ensuring adherence to best practices and IS delivery framework Your background Currently enrolled in a degree program in the US, majoring in Analytics, Computer Science or related field GPA 3.0 plus Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US In a degree program in Computer Science, IT, or a related field Problem solving abilities, specifically, identifying and resolving issues in IS technologies Understanding of cloud-based analytics and BI solutions Experience in objectively evaluating IS solutions and making recommendations Experience in translating business requirements into IS capabilities and solutions Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the overall context of business processes and IS technologies Experience in project planning and execution as well as economic aspects of system management and life cycle More about us We look forward to receiving your application.
