The role reports to the Operations Manager – GI/El Business Lines and is located Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Your responsibilities

  • Use your growing Electrical Engineering knowledge to help solve Engineering problems using ABB Robots
  • Work with other Engineers (of multiple disciplines) to execute projects for ABB’s customers in the Electronics (or General Industry) business
  • Learn and follow the procedures and processes ABB uses to successfully Engineer our projects
  • Learn to be an effective member of a team trying to complete complex technical tasks
  • Bring excitement, interest and skill into an industry that is one of the most dynamic industries on the planet. Robotics is growing and changing so quickly that you must bring a high level of enthusiasm to keep up
  • Provide input into the business as your talents allow. This could include input in technical topics you have learned in school, input into our processes that help us become quicker and more agile or social input into our organization that helps us become a more aware and flexible company

Your background

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in the US
  • GPA 3.0 plus
  • Must be the type of person that can multi-task. Our business is set up for quick turn around on multiple projects at one time.
  • Needs to have an interest in solving problems in a collaborative way. Our Engineers need to work together to have a solution that works.
  • Must be willing to learn. You must also enjoy learning. Everyone in the group is learning and most of the time, we enjoy it too.
  • Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US
