Job Number: R0070211 Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, SeniorKey Role:Serve as a hands-on Cloud architect and leverage expertise in architecting, designing, and building enterprise systems and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions to provide direct technical engineering, deployment, and sustainment support across the Cloud architecture and solution life cycles.

Develop and leverage IT infrastructure and Cloud architecture and apply expertise in security to partner with clients to design, implement, and operate critical enterprise systems hosted in Cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure and migrate, engineer, install, configure, administer, and maintain highly scalable elastic solutions that implement industry best practices with a focus on Cloud migration and AWS solutions.

Leverage expertise in deep technical work, IT automation and orchestration, and Cloud computing and Cybersecurity to advise and educate both technical and non-technical members of the client’s organization and the firm to achieve objectives.

Apply expertise in evaluating technology standards, tools, products, and solutions and conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends independently for impact and applicability to client challenges.

Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, capacity planning and management, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment to ensure the environment is secured, optimized, and adequately monitored.

Define guidelines and recommendations based on leading industry practices tailored to the client’s needs and infrastructure and create technical roadmaps, project plans, requirements, designs, and implementation plans.

Maintain responsibility for driving rational design decisions across business and technical perspectives by defining the technical strategies of a system and working closely with all stakeholders to drive technology implementation in Cloud environments.Basic Qualifications:-6 years of experience with administering, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise or DoD IT systems or networks for enterprise technologies, including virtualization, such as virtual desktop using Thin or Zero client, SQL, Windows Server services, such as Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS, Linux, datacenter networking, and content delivery and enterprise management solutions, such as Microsoft System Center-2 years of experience with AWS in production environments across a broad range of services, including IAM, Lambda, RDS, ELB, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, KMS, or CloudTrail-2 years of experience with building, delivering, and managing Cloud IaaS environments using IaaS platforms, including Rackspace, AWS, HP, Citrix, Eucalyptus, or VMware-1 years of experience with using configuration management and automation tools to provision and manage IT networks and systems, including Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, PowerShell, or Terraform-Secret clearance-HS diploma or GED-CompTIA Security CE (Sec CE) Certification, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Certification, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) Certification, or Azure Solutions Architect CertificationAdditional Qualifications:-Experience with open technologies, DevOps, and related IaC tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Diamanti, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Pivotal, and AppDynamics-Experience with JIRA Agile tools, working in an Agile environment, or using Scrum methodologies-Experience with the full software or systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and implementation-Experience with conducting proof-of-concepts, developing prototyping, and building reference models-Experience with businesses, IT users, and stakeholders to refine user stories and business requirements-Experience in resolving or assisting with the resolution of production issues within established ITSM constructs, including Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Operational Level of Agreement (OLA) preferred-Experience with managing Cloud cost and usage to ensure environment performs in a previously established budget, developing estimates based on existing requirements, and forecasting future costs based on new demand preferred-Experience in working with external consultants and vendors related to development and collaborating with offsite support teams-Experience with DoD security implementation, including STIG, security tools, such as HBSS, ACAS, and SIEM, and Cloud security best practices-Experience with implementing and supporting advanced Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including directory services, PIV, single-sign on, authentication services, privileged access management, and federation-Experience with network Security Operations Center (SOC) operations as an engineer or operator, including firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption, monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and authentication solutions for traditional and Cloud-hosted IT systems-Knowledge of federal IT and Cloud security policies, including FISMA/RMF, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and DoD Cloud SRG and applying them to Cloud security architectures-ITIL Foundations CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.We’re an EOE that empowers our people—no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic—to fearlessly drive change.
