Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Architect

You will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, tooling, security, monitoring, and operations with an automation-first mindset.

You bring the necessary experience to architect and design streamlined and automated deployment pipelines, while mentoring the Cloud Platform & Infrastructure team in driving the adoption of industry best practices to keep our client’s infrastructure secure, scalable, and efficient.

You will work closely with our clients in an advisory capacity to recommend the best-fit solutions and design patterns with a laser focus on reliability, scalability, security, and automated solutions.

You have a passion working with best-of-breed solutions and take a pragmatic approach to solution design..

Responsibilities:.

Motivate, lead, and develop a team of diverse individuals with a variety of experience levels and skill sets..

Create cost estimates for software and infrastructure based on business, functional, and technical requirements..

In collaboration with our development teams and clients, drive a consistent strategy for configuration, deployment, and change control management of our client’s data and analytical solutions..

Lead design discussions with Executives to help enterprises speed their adoption of new technologies and practices..

Serve as a thought leader for DevOps industry trends, new and existing technology offerings, and architectural concepts..

Architect, design, and develop highly available and resilient cloud infrastructure and applications.

Architect, design, and develop continuous integration and deployment solutions.

Automate the installation, upgrade and monitoring of applications, servers, and infrastructure.

Architect, design, and develop automated testing frameworks.

Qualifications & Skills.

Experience working in a fast-paced consulting environment.

10+ years of relevant experience, 5+ years working with cloud architectures and solutions, 3+ years in a leadership role.

Experience facilitating discussions with leadership regarding architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology..

Hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.

Proficiency with the integration of cloud services with on-premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc..

Experience with the concepts associated with DataOps, DevSecOps, and MLOps..

Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg.

security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.).

Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices..

Proficiency in security best practices around RBAC, IAM, MFA, and encryption..

Must have proficiency in one or more of the technologies / frameworks in each category below:.

Scripting and Programming Languages: Shell and Python; Java, C#, or Scala a plus.

Networking: IP networking, VPN’s, DNS, load balancing and firewalls.

Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Jenkins, CircleCI, AWS CodeBuild, Azure DevOps, Atlassian.

Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet.

Monitoring and Logging Tools: Kafka, Nagios, Splunk, Logstash.

Infrastructure as Code (IAC): Terraform, Chef, Puppet.

OS: Linux and Windows.

Containerization and Orchestration: Docker (including Compose and Swarm), Kubernetes..

Education and Certifications:.

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field required (M.S.

preferred) or relevant experience..

Architect-level certification(s) in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
