OverviewSOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a Cloud Architect/ Sr. Developer to support the United States Department of State – Office of Risk Analysis and Management.The Solutions Architect – Cloud and Virtualization is considered an industry recognized expert responsible for identifying, developing, maturing, and delivering industry leading Cloud and Virtualization capabilities. Must have programming development background.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate and coordinate with various enterprise systems stakeholders on cloud integration processes and procedures to include transitioning new and existing systems to the cloudExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)Development experienceInfrastructure and Deployment experience including supporting automation technologiesAbility to design, describe and document complex system architecturesStrong knowledge of Devops strategiesExperience with cloud technologiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot challenging technical issuesDemonstrated experience with various cloud technologies to include AWS and AzureDesign and define cloud architecture frameworks for enterprise systems to ensure consistency, security, maintainability, and flexibility with respect to overall system, technical and product architectures.Industry Engagement Strategy recognized SME within Cloud and Virtualization responsible for maturing and growing capability offerings to include services, skilled staff, intellectual capital, and products where applicable.Capability Investment Strategy work with State Department stakeholders to develop and execute investment prioritization and execution to address current and/or future capability gapsQualificationsActive in scope Secret clearance.Bachelors degree (computer science, information systems or related field preferred) and at least ten years related work experience.Masters degree a plus.Cloud Certifications desiredPossesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills10+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and programming and software development.Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skillsProfessional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS or AZUREFamiliarity with scripting languages: Python, Ruby, JavaScript or programming languages: Java, C++/C#.Knowledge of databases like MySQL, Oracle,Knowledge of Development Tools:Development ToolsEclipse IDE 3.6Ant 1.8.2JKD 1.6Oracle SQL Developer 3.0.04Oracle Data Modeler 3.1.0Application DevelopmentStruts 2.0.14Spring Framework 2.5.1, 3.0.4OJdbc 6iBatis 2.3Jasper Reports 4.5.1iText 2.1.7log4J 1.2.15Axis Web Services 2CXF 2.3JAXB 2.2.1JAXWS 2.1SAAJ 1.3WSDL4J 1.6WSS4J 1.5Experience working within software development or Internet-related industriesExperience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloudExperience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility forExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
