HDR is currently seeking a Civil Engineer for our site/civil group in San Antonio or Dallas, TX.

Primary Responsibilities:  

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the design of facilities related sites in support of a variety of markets including Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, and Federal.

• Coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration.
• Responsible for the development of drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction.
• Experience in the site development and the design of building related site civil (site layout, horizontal and vertical control, utilities, grading, hydrology/hydraulics, drainage, parking and pavement, and erosion control) is required.
• This individual should be self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound site civil designs. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering required
• PE required
• 4+ years of experience in site development and civil design required
• Strong operating knowledge of Civil 3D required
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills. 
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preference given to local candidates
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired
