Maintenance Electrician Electronics (Job ID: 653-667)Position Summary and Purpose: Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical systems and equipment, such as lighting, machine tools, CNC machining centers and electrical sub-stations with special emphasis on sophisticated electronic circuitry.
Maintains production and building equipment required for the manufacturing of superior quality precision parts.Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to apply knowledge of components, devices and equipment used in industrial equipment applications and the related electronics including AC and DC motors, motors controls, electronic drives, PLC’s, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment, instrumentation and sensors.Demonstrate understanding of operating systems, software and ladder logic Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Mazatrol, Siemens used in PLC systems to diagnose and repair circuits to restore operationPlans and performs hydraulic, mechanical and electrical/electronic machine maintenance and diagnostic activities where only general procedures are available.
Works alone or in a group.Receive work assignment, secure drawings to aid in diagnosing mechanical or electrical malfunctions or failures of equipment.
May require extensive troubleshooting.Rig, move, assemble, install and service facilities involved in Company operations.
Perform all functions necessary to maintain building and equipment to superior quality standards.Diagnose and restore equipment to proper specifications involving clearances, adjustments, alignments, component replacement.Plan work methods to obtain size, shape or performance qualities of a product.Work closely with machine operators and other service personnel while investigating and correcting problemsSelf-directed work, with specific instructions from supervisorMaintain a clean and orderly work area and perform all assignments in a safe manner and in accordance with established quality proceduresEducation and Experience:Associate s Degree in Electrical Technology/Mechatronics OR High School Diploma/GED with Military Advanced Electronics Training CourseMinimum 5 years prior troubleshooting experience in an industrial settingAdvanced PLC training certifications is preferredLeadership trainingKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, etc.Accuracy and dexterityExcellent mechanical, electrical and millwright aptitudeAbility to perform work from ladders, platforms, scaffoldsMental and visual acumen required for diagnosing and restoring equipment to proper specificationsAble to read blueprints and schematics, and follow instructionsAbility to work cooperatively with machine operators and other service personnelExcellent math skills and understanding of basic conceptsSelf-motivated to accomplish daily goals without direct supervisionCommitment to company Core ValuesTools, Technology and Equipment Used:Hydraulic, mechanical and electrical/electronic hand and power tools; precision measuring instruments and test equipment, forklift.
Also any furnishings, equipment, systems, facilities, or hardware pertinent to hydraulic, mechanical and electric assembly and testing activities.Physical Demands and Work Environment:This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders daily.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, to reach with hands and arms, to climb or balance, and talk and hear.
The employee must regularly lift, move or carry up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.
