The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Architecture and Requirements Decomposition Engineer to join a core Systems Engineering team in assisting business partners and teammates across the enterprise.
You will work in providing high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problems.

As a Functional Architecture and Requirements Decomposition Engineer, you will assist in leading functional architecture definition and requirements decomposition for technologies under research and development in an agile model based systems engineering environment.
You will support programs in requirement development, identifying interfaces (both internal and external) and further decompose architecture and requirements to sufficiently facilitate design synthesis.
You will develop modeling and perform trades and analysis optimization.
Primary Responsibilities : Support programs across the Enterprise in developing structured requirements, requirement decomposition and overall Systems engineering architecture.
Define functional architecture for elements within the program development area coordinating with experts across Boeing and its teammate/partners.
Develop/Update/Maintain the Boeing Systems Engineering process guides.
Represent Boeing as a Requirements SME and Systems Architecture SME.
Lead architectural trade studies and summarize for inclusion into contract deliverable.
Develop program Risks and Mitigations.
Support Program Gate reviews across the Enterprise.
This position allows telecommuting.
The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.
Security Clearance for which the U.S.
Government requires U.S.
Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) : Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
9 or more years of experience in system design, analysis, modeling, simulation, verification and validation.
5 or more years of experience with the development and maintenance of interface requirements through Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs), or similar artifacts, for a complex system.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) : Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel at all organization levels including suppliers and customers.
Experience in a Chief Engineer or Lead Engineer role responsible for ensuring system and product integration across multiple disciplines.
Demonstrated leadership for driving issue resolution and mitigating technical risk.
Experience in working agile model based system engineering environment.
Experience with Model Based Engineering tools and languages such as Enterprise Architecture, Cameo, MagicDraw, and UML/SysML.
Experience in RF/Digital Electronics and SW design.
Education/experience in 1 or more of the following: Cameo, DOORS, SysML, Cadece/Pspice, Python, Matlab.
Typical Education/ Experience : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
PhD4 years’ related work experience, Master7 years’ related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
