The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Modification Project Tech to support the C17 Heavy Maintenance Scheduling program at San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities: Manages, plans, researches, develops, analyzes, and designs heavy maintenance and modification schedules that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements Defines the schedules for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repairs of delivered aircraft Determines maintenance capabilities to aid in development of maintenance schedules Reviews and evaluates documented information for planning and scheduling maintenance actions Builds and reports Depot Maintenance Scheduling Effectiveness assuring support for USAF customers Knowledgeable of USAF policies as they apply to the Heavy Maintenance activity Coordinates plans and schedules with Program office, both facilities and the customers as appropriate Cultivates effective working relationships with Program office, both facilities and the customers Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments Researches and determines or recommends appropriate actions or interpretation of issues impacting depots and heavy maintenance schedule Develops the scheduled visit plan, period of performance and responds to customer issues Defines, plans and manages resource requirements, aircraft availability and aircraft maintenance history Receives customer inquiries regarding quality issues and performs root cause analysis Maintains and develops performance metrics concerning plans and schedules Communicates daily with customers, planners, schedulers, industrial engineers, writers and illustrators as to the timing, quality and supportability of inspections, modifications and repair Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Practical with any of the following defining, estimating, and/or planning complex schedules Prioritizing tasks of a complex schedule with multiple facets to include dates, periods of performance; flow; types of inspections/repairs/mods Must be willing and capable of travel domestically 25% Performs work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment Serves as subject matter expert to management and external customers for the organization on major matters pertaining to maintenance and modification schedules, plans, and objectives Experience with aircraft maintenance and modification operations a plus Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Prefer experience working with complex schedules Prefer C-17 aircraft experience and/or C-17 plans and scheduling Previous experience as a project team leader; develops and sustains productive customer relationships as they relate to project team leadership responsibilities Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact within company as well as USAF/US Government and International customers Strong briefing abilities both inside and outside organization, to include international customers Strong problem solving skills a plus Background working with USG/USAF and/or international customers Strong record keeping background Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor’s and/or typically 4 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and/or typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
