Architectural and Design Rep Miami Market Job Summary Benjamin Moore & Co.
is currently looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to join our sales team.
You will be accountable for engaging architects, designers and specifying professionals to grow market share and strengthen Benjamin Moore’s position of product and color leadership within a defined territory.
You will be responsible for managing the project specification and linking the planning stages to successful completion, resulting in paint sales and for providing expertise, education and brand awareness to the key purchase influencer segments including the Independent Retailer, Architects, Designers and Color Consultants.
Key Responsibilities:Serve as a direct representative, resource and brand ambassador to the architectural and design communities supplying technical information and guidance for commercial, industrial, residential and government projectsOptimize brand awareness and educate on product and color differentiationExpand the reach of Benjamin Moore’s product and color position through cold calls and delivery of presentations and provided collateralServe as an expert for environmental regulations and standards including LEED and EPACommunicate industry requirements and recommendations to HQ for integration into planningMaintain an active role in industry associations and local organizations and awareness of industry advancements/trendsEnsure that the Benjamin Moore developed CEU strategy is effectively delivered and drives the core of objective of brand/product specification toward purchaseMaintain competitive intelligence of products, standards and specificationsEffectively lead professional training activities in the architectural and design communities including associations, firms, events and trade showsCollaborate, educate and train in-store Color Consultants and design professionals to increase effectiveness and product advocacyConduct job site visits including recommendations, warranty and inspection work and complaint resolutionPartner and communicate on a consistent basis with National Accounts Team on leads & job specificationsWork closely with the Area Sales Managers and Sales Team to define objectives and goals along with metrics and milestonesWork collaboratively with Sales Team to drive qualified leads to Territory RepresentativesRequired Skills:Two to five years of experience directly with the architectural and design communitiesThorough understanding of specification and finish schedule writingCollege degree preferred or design accreditationWorking knowledge of required software programs (Microsoft Office, CRM)Excellent communication, listening and public speaking skillsEffective training and motivational skillsEffective time management skillsHigh sales aptitude, self-motivatedAbility to analyze situation and identify opportunities for successEffective decision making andproblem-solvingskillsEffective team interaction skills with high aptitude for collaboration with colleaguesValid driver’s license and a good driving record a mustAbility to work evenings & weekends when necessaryBilingual as appropriate for territoryCompany ProfileClick to see how you can paint your futureThe color of pride: Benjamin Moore is proud to be a part of Berkshire Hathaway, which was recognized by Fortune magazine as the world’s fourth most admired company.
