AVANGRID: Senior Infrastructure Specialist

Monitor operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

Align the operational requirements with relevant global/corporate operational requirement(s), security framework(s) and/or associated regulatory compliance.Key Technical Working Skills:Understanding of common vulnerabilities and exploits is requiredKnowledge of the cyber threat landscape including types of adversaries and the motivations that drive them is required.Develop or implement open-source/third-party tools to assist in detection, prevention and analysis of security threatsConduct penetration testing, simulating an attack on the system to find exploitable weaknessesParticipate Conduct penetration testing, simulating an attack on the system to find exploitable weaknessesExperience with implementing or operating Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) technologies is desiredExperience with monitoring tools for uptime as well as advanced understanding of traffic analysis.Experience preparing and/or presenting reports and briefings is required.Key Responsibilities:Provide timely responses to all incidents, tasks and requests assigned to meet Service Level Agreements.Work with internal clients, suppliers/contractors, project teams and other technical staff to identify, design and support technical solutions.Lead the technical implementation plans in support of technical projects.Maintain high quality security controls surrounding the critical SCADA systems.Must be able to translate technical security concepts into lay termsMust be comfortable presenting in front of technical and non-technical audiencesPerform/coordinate special assignments form OSG Infrastructure Manager.Provide professional and technical mentoring for team members.Maintain regulatory compliance under NERC/CIP guidelines.Ability to effectively work with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise is requiredAbility to communicate situations to all levels including senior management is requiredAdvanced written communication abilities are requiredProvide 24×7 on call support.Provide maintenance following the change management process.Must possess ability to deal collaboratively, diplomatically, and successfully with customers, co‐workers and other professional colleagues, managers, and staff.Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, as well as work independently with limited supervision.Must have excellent problem‐solving skills while providing first class customer service.

Requires outstanding oral and written communication skills.Each employee must accept responsibility for their own safety and health as well as the safety and health of their fellow employees.Skills and RequirementsWill consider additional years of relevant experience (10+ years) and/or related technical certifications in lieu of degree requirement (in accordance with the FLSA Computer Professionals Exemption)Education and Experience Requirements: Meet at least one of the following:AS Technical Related Degree with 8+ years’ technical experienceBS Technical Related Degree with 6-8 years’ technical experienceMS Technical Related Degree with 4+ years’ technical experienceExperience:Position requires a minimum of (4) years’ experience working with infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment.

Position requires professional experience with more than one of the following areas:Center Operations, Disaster Recover/Business Continuity Planning & Execution, Security & Compliance Management, Infrastructure Operational Policies & Procedures, and/or Technical Project Coordination.Fundamental understanding of Linux OS, Microsoft OS, UNIX Operating Systems (OS), Microsoft OS, Active Directory, VMware, Citrix, Networking, Routing, Firewalls, Security tools and/or scripting.
