Ancestry is looking for a seasoned engineer or architect to join our architecture team. Working out of our Lehi, Utah office, you will work with other architects and engineers to solve, implement, deliver, and adopt shared architecture, systems, libraries, and components. You will solve problems on both front-end and back-end systems. Using a variety of technologies and skillsets, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and high quality engineering practices across the company.
You will:
-Work closely with architects and web platform team members to design and implement company-wide software solutions
-Lead front-end code reviews and provide guidance regarding the design of the applications
-Help set standards and guidelines on UI architecture, interactions and behaviors.
-Partner with product and engineering managers and their teams to gather requirements and adoption strategies for large scale technology adoption initiatives
Who you are:
-Software development experience with JavaScript, and Linux
-Experience in web technologies such as CSS3, HTML5, and React
-Advanced knowledge with software development best practices such as TDD/BDD, CI/CD, and Rest API design
-Experience in large scale platform technologies such as containerization and cloud technologies
