Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking  a Level 3 (EXPERIENCED) Aircraft Structure Repair Mechanic to support the F-18 Service Life Maintenance program at San Antonio, TX

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The candidate in this position does the following; maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, and applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):

• Minimum 5 years experience on military aircraft structural and mechanical systems
• Minimum 5 years modification experience at an Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) or an airline
• Minimum 3 years experience in aircraft systems installation processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• FAA A&P Certifications is desirable

Typical Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED and typically 5 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.(POST START)
