Purpose of Position:
The Technical Designer is responsible for facilitating the transition of apparel styles from design concept to a final, production-ready prototype. Collaborates with product developers and vendors to ensure consistent fit and quality.

What You’ll Do:
- Maintain consistency of DT fit standards through use of fit form, live fittings and pattern analysis
- Analyze and uphold garment construction standards
- Develop and maintain clear and accurate product and measurement specifications
- Create and update technical illustrations and construction callouts
- Identify potential production, functional, quality and costing issues and make recommendations to ensure brand integrity
- Track and manage workflow and workload for own product, elevate any issues to meet deadlines to leader and present solutions to issues
- Communicate daily with suppliers
- Analyze fabric testing information to ensure DT standards are met
- Analyze customer return rate and determine if product improvements are needed
- Conduct competitive analysis when required
- Complete projects as assigned
- Travel domestically and internationally when required
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of apparel technical designer experience
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design and Development, or equivalent work experience
- Strong fit and patternmaking skills
- Knowledge of apparel construction
- Working knowledge of PLM systems
- Sketching skills using Adobe Illustrator
- Understanding of product engineering, manufacturing processes and QC systems
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
