Our ideal candidate will have experience in MEP Engineering, CAD Drafting and Design, as well as construction background, and be detailed orientated.
Ideal candidate will operate a computer-aided design (CAD) system and peripheral equipment to resize or modify plumbing lines and building layouts (2D & 3D) for a commercial plumbing company located in Raleigh, NC.
You will also be involved in generating and supporting estimating functions in our residential construction company.As a CAD Designer/Drafter you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty.
You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.
It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Experience requirements:Experience in CAD design and ConstructionAbility to develop and produce modification drawings and be accurate and detail oriented.Proficient skill level in 3D CAD (AutoCAD, Revit, Parametric and BIM) are preferred.Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint)Strong Ability to learn new graphic software as company grows.Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Construction Management or Trade Associates degree, preferred but not required.Clean Driving Record with current NC or SC Driver’s License, clean Criminal Background Check, pass applicable drug tests.Strong people skills, including the capability to handle various personalities and develop professional relationships.Action oriented, with the drive to push projects and tasks to successful closure.Strong verbal & written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate accurately and persuasively.Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Knowledge of construction management theory and practice.Knowledge of construction building codes and building methods.Must have strong computer skills and a strong understanding of modern technology as it related to the modern construction work industry.Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and follow-up and carry multiple projects through to completion.SALARY WILL BE BASED OFF EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSPhysical Requirements:This is a position which sometimes requires the candidate to frequently walk, stand, and climb stairs in/around construction sites, apartment homes, models and properties.
Must maintain professional appearance and be able to work in a construction environment in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet), around hazardous chemicals, dust, dirt, and other particulates.
Must also have the ability to operate an automobile, read large quantities of information, operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry up to 100 lbs.
