– USA Chicago, Illinois Senior UX Designer Nielsen is reimagining, retooling, and recrafting our client’s experience through digital products that measure and predict marketplace behavior, and activate successful change for our clients.

Nielsen Connect UX is at the forefront of this transformation and is looking for a talented Senior UX Designer.

In this role, you will implement design processes and best practices to create the next generation of Nielsen products.

Designing alongside product leaders and developers, you will work on products that help retailers and manufacturers run their day-to-day business, including pricing, promotion, assortment, category review, and everyday analytics.

These products are used by thousands of companies across North America, Europe, and around the world.

Your design IQ, team approach, and passion to deliver will uniquely position you to help Nielsen deliver its next generation of great products.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Design interfaces that communicate well and help focus the experience on both web apps and mobile apps Create useful interfaces with clear content hierarchy and efficient data visualization.

Collaborate with content creators, designers, developers and product leads to concept, design, and improve products with a user-centered design approach Define specifications for technology leads and development teams.

Support other designers, occasionally mentoring junior level designers.

Leverage and contribute to design systems to drive product consistency across the enterprise.

Deliver and communicate quality designs to a diverse audience in a timely manner Continue to learn and develop your UX skill set by working with peers and other designers in a collaborative team environment.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE: Bachelor’s degree in UX or a related field such as HCI, Human Factors, information design, etc.

Master’s degree preferred.

7 years, or graduate degree 5 years of relevant experience working in corporate software, interactive agency or internet consulting environments.

Design experience in a B2B context is preferred.

Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization is an advantage.

Ability to prototype designs using tools such as Axure, Sketch, and/or InVision.

Axure preferred.

Proven collaboration among UX peers, technology teams, and product stakeholders.

Understanding and application of UI frameworks, component libraries, and their impacts on design in relevant experience.

Demonstrated successful teamwork in a multidisciplinary team environment, providing leadership in areas of expertise and evangelism of User Centered Design Strong interpersonal skills and oral / written communication skills.
