OTR is seeking a Research Associate to join its global team covering media and internet.
Individual in this role will be connecting with media industry professionals, analyzing research data, and facilitating research report preparation and secondary research.
Research Associate will work closely with senior researchers in the Global Media team to provide relevant and timely marketplace intelligence.
Candidates with previous experience in the advertising and media industry are preferred, as key responsibilities of this role will include in-depth interviews with media professionals.

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2-3 years’ experience researching, analyzing and/or writing about media and advertising trends; prior experience in media buying and planning, working as strategist or researcher, and knowledge of the financial industry and investment basics a plus.
Understanding of the key trends shaping the advertising and media industry and key media companies, and an ability to identify and articulate inflections in those trends.
The ideal candidate is persistent with networking and is able to develop and maintain industry relationships and engage contacts for recurring in-depth dialogue.
An established network of contacts in the media and advertising industry is a plus.
Exceptional communication and analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to “connect the dots” and clearly articulate research conclusions.
Strong organizational and project management skills, proactive thinking, ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and work under pressure.
The candidate must be a fast learner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience aggregating, organizing and analyzing data.
Proven ability to work well within self-motivated, showing initiative, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
