Marquee product designers have tremendous responsibility in shaping the team’s strategic vision, understanding and communicating users’ needs, and working with teams across the firm to prototype and build new digital experiences. We are looking for a product designer who enjoys translating complex user needs into intuitive, simple and impactful products. This product designer will partner with product managers, engineers and our stakeholders on key initiatives for our clients. About the Role Marquee Data Analytics team provides clients with the same data and tools our traders and strategists rely upon to analyze markets – from access to rich sets of data, to expressive time series analytics tools and sophisticated data visualization. In this role, you will be working with client service representatives, product managers, engineers and members of the Marquee product design team to create a seamless user experience across an interconnected suite of data-intensive products. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS – Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers and stakeholders to identify and develop experiences around new client opportunities. – Develop strategy, approach and timelines for design projects in collaboration with product management and engineering. – Move design projects through the product design process – including discovery, conceptualization, detailed design and implementation. – Apply holistic user research methods iteratively to gain insights and drive product development. – Apply broad, scalable system and platform-oriented design approaches to a growing product ecosystem. – Make proactive recommendations for cross-team or cross-project collaboration based on opportunities to streamline client experience. Basic Qualifications – 5+ years experience in product design. – A portfolio demonstrating experience in designing and shipping large-scale products. – Strong knowledge of user experience principles and their application cross-platform. – Ability to apply and facilitate iterative discover and co-creation methodologies. – Ability to understand, balance and design outcomes for both business and end-user needs. – Understanding of modern web standards, capabilities and best practices. – Experience with modern design tooling and systems. – Ability to advocate for quality design. – Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualification – Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field. – Experience working in agile development environments – ideally in-house within an integrated product, engineering, and design team. – Experience with user research, including contextual inquiry and usability testing. – Experience designing data-intensive workflows for technical users.
