This is a Full-time position in New York, NY posted August 15, 2021.

Can You Believe It?! it’s a Freelance job

Freelance Product Designer . Bansho . New York, NY, USA . BOOM! Nuff said.

About

The future of learning is changing rapidly before our eyes. The way we will consume, learn, and teach each other through media will look a lot different in the next 10 years than it does now. We want to play a part in building this future.

Bansho is a team of educators, technologists, content creators, and entrepreneurial spirits looking to build learning products for the next generation. We’re tired of products and media that ignore the needs and preferences of today.

We’re passionate about building consumer products that make kids, parents, and educators safer, happier, and healthier.

We’re a diverse, distributed team with big dreams for the future of learning. Join us on our mission to make learning FUN.

This freelance designer role is for a quick two-week sprint project, with the opportunity for further work as we grow as a company. We are looking for someone with experience designing cross-platform products that span both mobile and web applications. We are working on a design framework that expands our mobile app in terms of functionality, reach, and control. The end deliverable of this project would be: (1) high fidelity product mockups that can be shared in a presentation format and (2) initial flows that showcase the user journey across our platform, mobile-to-web and vice versa.

Experience working on any of the following would be put you in a position to hit the ground running, but not necessary to being successful in the role:
– educational technology
– family tech
– consumer apps
– early childhood applications (ages 3-8 years)

Tools we use:
– We mainly design with Figma, but are agnostic when it comes to toolkit. Your preference is okay with us.

Added benefits:
– If you have front-end development experience, that is also a huge plus, but not necessary. Just helps to translate our designs to the engineering team later on.
