RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client that is looking for a Process Designer to work out of their Austin, TX location for a 6 month possible extension or conversion project.
This will be 100% onsite (there may be some flex down the road).
Hourly compensation will depend on years of experience and required skills needed.
Day to Day Responsibilities of the Process Designer: Process Designer works on couple different projects, but mainly support chemical process and conveyance line process projects Design process P&ID being used for production and pipe design Process Designer will verify design packages/drawings As a Process Designer, you will make recommendations accordingly Process Designer, Facilities Designer to support the permit, construction, and fabrication drawing development for the process systems at our Client’s manufacturing facilities.
Scope includes as-building, 3D pipe routing, and equipment room layouts that conform to building codes and standards.
Must coordinate with other disciplines and work closely with our structural engineering team for pipes supports and seismic bracing.
Responsibilities Provide advanced drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining construction drawings, facilities layouts, and engineering drawings Produce complex technical drawings including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and pipe routing drawings.
Develops simple to mid-level designs/layouts through fabrication level 3D models and spool drawings Prepares designs and bill of material estimates from general instruction Field surveys and as-building Job Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: 5 years’ experience in wet mechanical/piping drafting or process/chemical system design experience Associates degree or completion of a technical trade school Must be proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D and REVIT (REVIT is a plus) Experience with Fabricator CADmep a plus Knowledge of different piping systems and joining methods Intelligent P&ID Creation in AutoCAD Plant 3D Checking Fabrication Isometric and P&ID Drawings a plus Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
