Prior in-plant Industrial project management experience is required to qualify for this job with at least 5+ years of Capital CAPEX Project Experience required.

Must have significant experience with using AutoCAD 2D and any 3D Software(s).

In this Piping Designer job you will be required to assist with brownfield Capital Projects (CAPEX) in the $5 Million to $10 Million Range.
Must be Authorized to work in the U.S.

Are You Qualified?

Technical School Program and a minimum of 5 years of Capital (CAPEX) Project Experience

Proficient in
AutoCAD 2D and any 3D Sofware(s)

Experience in specific engineering discipline projects is required.

Able to climb.

Experienced with field piping measurements and elevation surveys.

Must have experience in working with a multi-functional project team.

Familiar with MS Office Suite.

What Are your Primary Responsibilities?

This Baton Rouge Based Piping Designer job will be responsible for analysis of Mechanical and Piping Design problems, and complete design and layout work in a specific discipline.

You may specify equipment and components.

You will guide and assist other designers and check other’s work.

You will engage in the design, review, and optimization process to ensure the quality of the engineering standards and drawings used to deliver products against overall project cost targets and timelines.
You will…

Work from requirements and guidance from the Engineering team, generate new, innovative, and cost-effective designs for the team.

Communicate with engineers, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure that CAD models, drawings and documents accurately depict the necessary data.

Create and maintain solid models of designs.

Produce IFC quality package.

Create and maintain engineering drawings, bills of materials and estimates.

Review critical design aspects, dimensions, finishing, and drawing standards.

Maintain system and product database by entering data.

Provide guidance to vendor selection and production activities.

Be active in evaluating designs and confirming that the hardware meets requirements.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Perform difficult design layouts.

Specify equipment and components.

Apply standards.

Be capable to execute required engineering calculations.

Guide and assist designer / systems designers and check work of others.

Keep current with latest technical developments in his/her discipline.

Complete all assignments in a timely manner, within budget and with the highest level of quality.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
