We lead, plan and design complex projects for clients that change the world in the Biopharmaceutical, Aerospace, Energy and Utilities, Mission Critical, and Science & Technology (S) markets, among many others.We have a great opportunity for you to join AEI in anInstrumentation and Controls Designer I role in our Madison, WIoffice.

Responsibilities: Here is what we have in store for you:In this role, you will be involved with the development of process and industrial system P, system architectures, wiring schematics and drawings, and other associated automation system design documentation.

Other responsibilities include, attending design meetings and assisting in field surveys.

You will also have an opportunity to contribute to innovative and unique control solutions to align with project, client, and project partners needs which includes:Applying your knowledge while working on significant and complex projects.Work alongside professionals known for advanced engineering solutions.Learning within a friendly, supportive environment.

Qualifications: What you will need to succeed:Completion of or enrollment in an industrial automation, automated manufacturing, or CAD Designer program from ABET accredited school.Will consider those who have completed one year of coursework, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and plan to complete a designer program in the next year.Will consider those with significant relevant, hands-on controls experience in lieu of formal education.What sets you apart:Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations.Exposure to Programmable Logic Controllers, (PLC), Programming, and Electrical Controls Schematics.Exposure to process, mechanical, or industrial systems.Exposure to drafting programs such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit.Strong commitment to service excellence.Strong spoken and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and quality work.Excellent organization and time management skills.Ability to work under pressure and strict timelines, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.Ability to work effectively individually and within a team environment.What AEI brings:AEI passionately invests in our employees by providing a collaborative, innovative work environment and the opportunity for personal and professional growth working among the brightest minds in the industryAn appreciation for its employees and a culture that reflects that.
