We measure success by how we touch the lives of people inside and outside our walls.What You will GetA company culture where everyone Healthcare Dental Vision 401k with Employer matchCareer development and mentoringTuition ReimbursementAnnual flu immunizationHoliday, personal and vacation daysLocal and national discountsWellness offeringsSummary/Objective:This position will work within our furniture group to create new designs and collaborate with customers.Duties and Responsibilities:Create new furniture designs, develop new collections, and explore new product categories based on the company product plan and strategies.Conduct market research for various furniture categories.Present product design concepts to relevant teams and stakeholdersCreate drawings and/or mood boards that support the vision of new development.Maintain and support a robust material library.Coordinate with product managers to ensure designs support sourcing capabilities.Provide spec sheets with design measurements and details to be sent for quoting and sampling.Collectively and collaboratively give constructive criticism on new concepts and/or designs.Working Conditions:Primarily working indoors, office environment.May sit for several hours at a time.Prolonged exposure to computer screens.Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.Qualifications:Excellent eye for aesthetic design, while keeping the consumer in mind2-5 years experience in interior design and/or product designStrong knowledge of industry trends and market researchUnderstand customer demographics, price points, and marginsAbility to make data driven decisions and advise accordinglyProficiency in solid wood, veneers, fabrics and/or leather upholstery designs is helpfulExcellent communication and analytical skills detail orientedPrevious experience in working with overseas factories is strongly preferredPotential travel up to 10-15% of the timeProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop preferred)Competencies:Communication proficiency/coachingAnalytical skillsAttention to detail and organizational skillsTeam playerSupervisory Responsibility:This role has supervisory responsibility.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time salary position, typical hours/days of work are 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
