SAR ENGINEER SUPPORT (SASPO-21-0280-W) Bowhead seeks a SAR Engineer Support to assist the Strategic Alternate Sourcing Program Office (SASPO) contract located in Oklahoma City, OK at Tinker AFB. This contract will provide advisory and assistance services (AAS) for Source Approval Request (SAR) Packages Engineering Support, for Alternate Sourcing Reverse Engineering and Repair Development (RERD) Support, and for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources Material Shortages (DMSMS) Management and Planning Support. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to bull Developing SAR packages for Government submission. bull Working directly with potential parts suppliers to become a Government approved supplier. bull Understanding of (Manufacturer Qualification Requirements (MQRs) and Repair Qualification Reports (RQRs)). bull Expertise with the AF or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) maintenance concepts. Requirements bull Five or more (5+) years of experience evaluatingapproving source approval packages, applying technical requirements to sourcing characteristics, applying engineering source approval policies and procedures for the evaluation of aerospace components (to include propulsion systems) and equipment, and evaluating potential reverse engineer projects and determining formfitfunction. bull Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. bull Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. bull Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications bull Experience with evaluation of source approval packages from manufacturing and repair sources in accordance with the established qualification requirements (Manufacturer Qualification Requirements (MQRs) and Repair Qualification Reports (RQRs)). bull Expertise with the AF or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) maintenance concepts for propulsionaerospace component parts. bull Experience in the evaluation or application of reverse engineering efforts. bull Experience in locating new sources for manufacture or repair. bull Experience in cross-referencing OEM specification requirements into industrial specifications. bull Specialized knowledge of industry sources, people, capabilities, and resource utilization when normal engineering analysis does not identify a resolution to qualification problem. bull Engineering expertise, spanning the range of aerospace parts used by the aerospace industry. bull Experience with MS Visio and MS Project.
