    Responsibilities

    Guidehouse Insights, a part of Guidehouse’s global Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure practice, is a market research and consulting team that provides in-depth analysis of global clean technology markets.

    The team’s research methodology combines supply-side industry analysis, end-user primary research and demand assessment, and deep examination of technology trends to provide a comprehensive view of these industry sectors.

    We are interested in candidates who have a passion for client service.

    We would like someone who is comfortable engaging with both internal and external clients in a key operations role, including helping salespeople to track and achieve their goals on a monthly basis.

    We are seeking a highly organized, detailed, efficient, person who takes great pride in their work and the success of a team.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide high-quality, timely client support, responding to questions and inquiries related to research reports, subscription services, and custom research engagements
    • Manage and track research subscriptions
      • Coordinate analyst inquiry calls, briefings, and webinars
      • Assist the Business Development team in cultivating existing client relationships and identifying upselling opportunities
      • Proactively anticipate client needs
      • Contact clients with relevant blogs, articles, events, and forthcoming research reports
      • Monitor status of subscriptions to ensure renewal
      • Assist clients with technical (website) issues
    • Track, analyze, aggregate, and report key sales and client service metrics
    • Create, refine, and distribute client communications and presentation materials (email templates, PPT decks, etc.)
    • Assist sales team with closing incoming leads in a professional and timely manner while also laying the groundwork for deeper client relationships
    • Work with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute proactive sales campaigns for each of the company’s market research products
    • Manage Salesforce CRM: customization projects, internal training, etc.
    • Creating value-added opportunities to enhance collaboration such as sales meetings, report briefings, etc.
    • Monitor inbound web leads/inquiries and distribute to team or follow up when needed
    • Support sales team with custom research and consulting projects
    • Serve as primary point of contact for internal inquiries relating to research access and usage, utilizing strong institutional knowledge to provide quick and accurate guidance to colleagues

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years demonstrated experience in a client service or sales role, working with sophisticated corporate clients
    • Customer service orientation and sense of urgency
    • Strong organization and project management skills, detail-oriented
    • Ability to think critically and to anticipate gaps and identify areas for improvement
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Knowledgeable in basic data management techniques
    • Interest in emerging technology and energy markets
    • Computer and technology savvy
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Position not eligible for sponsorship

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5 years experience in a client service or sales role, working with sophisticated corporate clients
    • Salesforce experience with administrator rights or super-user
    • Communicate frequently with co-workers as well as with managers to discern their needs, and be able to express themselves
    • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently with minimal oversight
    • Capable of constantly operating a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work
    • Usually remains stationary for the majority of the day
    • Ability to frequently communicates with clients and coworkers
    • Must be able to share information effectively
    • Work experience in an office environment
