Job Overview/Summary.
The Business Support Manager (BSM) will support the manufacturing plant operation by being the Plant Human Resource Leader and utilizing systemic methodologies, coaching/mentoring, strategy development, and tools to increase organizational capacity.
The role will be responsible for Human Resources and Employee Relations in the facility.
The BSM is a member of the Plant Leadership Team and reports directly to the Plant Manager.
This role multi-tasks through various areas of Human Resource administrative support and corporate management programs..
Key Responsibilities.
People Management and Leadership Development responsibilities for the 24 hour manufacturing plant..
Manage Level 1 ER cases for Reno Plant.
Ensure appropriate documentation for individual discussion and coach managers on appropriate documentation standards..
Advance issues to & maintain strong relationship with Clorox ER & HRBP.
Support or lead change management efforts throughout Reno facility, related to HR systems/benefits changes, and GME/operational changes from a people aspect.
Coach PSO managers on a variety of HR/ER issues.
Build & manage sustainable HR Policies/Processes and Procedures.
Proactively manage workforce challenges including turnover, retirements, recruiting and new hires..
Manager the talent acquisition process of recruit, screen, hire timely to business needs.
Train production employees on company policies.
Manage Unemployment claims, as needed.
Create and Maintain Medical & Termination Files.
Update employee data, generate and run reports in Workday.
Maintain records for employee performance issues.
Tracking various information for AAP records.
Manage timely and accurate documentation of discipline in Workday.
Manage Workers Compensation process (file claims, accommodations requests, manage relationships with 3rd party & resolution manager, manage information among 3rd party, Safety Mgr & employee..
Support PSO leadership initiatives & projects as requested.
Key Skills, Abilities, Experience and Education Required.
Minimum 7 years working in HR environment or Operations Management (preferably in manufacturing environment).
Seasoned leader with proven track record of success in a high performance team environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
Self motivated, time manager with up-beat motivating and positive attitude when handling issues under pressure.
Experience & knowledge of Microsoft Office products and systems
– Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HR systems.
Multi-tasking.
Demonstrated knowledge human resources, legal and business support type matters and handling all documents as part of the administrative policy.
Interacting with people from all levels of the organization.
