Job Summary & Responsibilities Provide expert level hardware support of installation base through escalation process for Onto Innovation tools via remote support or at customer sitesDevelop and effectively communicate with internal and external customers on plans of action and resultsDrive improvement in the support structure of existing products with documentation revision and development, feedback of quality issues discovered in the field to design engineersProvide on the job training to Field Service EngineersProvide Field Service input to New Product Development through design reviews and testingProvide support of documentation development and qualification criteria during New Product IntroductionProvide occasional support of field service activities in a field service engineer capacityMust be able to remain in a stationary position for lengthy periods of timeConstantly positions self to access serviceable areas in a cleanroom environmentFrequently moves components or diagnostic equipment weighing up to 50 pounds in a cleanroom environment QualificationsProficient in Microsoft Office productsFamiliar with PC’s and have a strong troubleshooting backgroundAbility to travel both domestically and internationally and have a current Visa or entry permission50% travel requiredMinimum 5 years of experience in Field Support ServiceBS in an electronics discipline or equivalent military experience in a technical fieldMaster’s degree preferred Outstanding verbal and written communication skills necessary #LI SH1 Onto Innovation is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
