Network Operations Support Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking an entry-level NOC Linux Support Technician to join our Network Operations Center for a global technology leader in Corvallis, Oregon (OR). The NOC operates 24/7/365 and there are multiple shifts supported. The current opening is for 12 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday night. The NOC is part of a larger group where our goal is to develop our NOC team into Systems Administrators, Tools Engineers or DevOps Engineers. Summary: This group monitors 1000 servers supporting 7 million connected customers. The position requires the qualified person to be proactive and requires attention to detail while monitoring all of these servers The individual will need to seek resolutions to problems identified, working trouble tickets that come via email and coordinating the escalation of issues as needed.
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Any relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
- Basic/intermediate understanding of Linux
- Any Tier 1 help desk experience
- Monitoring experience is a plus
- Dedicated, independent problem solver
- Good attention to detail
- Customer service focus and understanding
- Teamwork
